End of 1999 - Department of Systems and Technologies Modeling have been forming on the basis of the teaching staff of the Mechanics and Mathematics School and Technical Physics School of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. September 7, 2001 - the Department joined the School of Computer Science. Head of Department was appointed Doctor of Technical Sciences, Full Professor Tkachuk M.

Main educational and scientific activities are: development of new methods and algorithms; software and computer systems for the current problems connected with high-technology industries in microelectronics, medicine, chemistry and biology, production of new materials, processes disinfecting food processing development, creation, testing, verification and more.
