General information

The main goal: Implementation of the Postgraduate Study Program of improvement of local government authorities’ professional skills

Project goals:

  • To teach local authorities how to introduce good governance principles into local government practice in the territorial communities of Ukraine
  • To train the staff of local authorities in the methods of constructive interaction with territorial communities’ members

Project directions:

  • Training of trainers of the Postgraduate Study Program “Management in Ukrainian Local Government Institutions”.
  • Organization of studies for the groups of: community leaders and Council members; middle managers; public service officers.

Expected results:

  • Improved knowledge and skills of territorial communities’ local authorities in the fields of managing: human resources, local economic development, projects, budgeting and finances; public service provision; leadership; social communication; territorial governance.

The partners: Malopolska School of Public Administration, Cracow University of Economics, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University

At Karazin University the project is being implemented on the basis of the Educational and Scientific Institute “The Institute of Public Administration”.
