The Diploma Supplement is produced and issued in accordance with the procedure approved by the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 365 as of April 29, 2010 «On approval of the Procedure for ordering, issuing and registering the DIPLOMA SUPPLEMENT and its description».

A DIPLOMA SUPPLEMENT is a document given to graduates of higher educational institutions of all forms of property and subordination to provide information required for objective evaluation of higher education qualification (degree) received by the person awarded with a higher education diploma. The Supplement contains a description of the nature, level, content, status of training received and successfully accomplished by the person indicated in the original of the qualification document to which the supplement is issued. it also contains personal data about this person that are entered into the centralized databank of the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine.

The SUPPLEMENT is filled out according to the structure developed by the European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO-CEPES, which is necessary to ensure international ’transparency’ and fair academic and professional recognition of the diploma (higher education qualification) in order to access further education and/or to undertake professional activities.

The European Diploma Supplement is a form of document on higher education printed on protected paper on A4 size pages (210×297 mm). The form is protected against the unauthorized use by a range of protective elements: protective mesh, micro fonts of various structure, protective paints. Pages are numbered using protective paint applied by relief printing. The Diploma Supplement begins with explanatory notes which are a compulsory part of the document and are placed as framed text in the header on the first page to provide general information on its purpose and content. The Supplement consists of 8 sections. Information under Section 8 is provided by the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine.

The Supplement is drawn in Ukrainian and English.

The issue of the Diploma Supplement is a paid service. On the contract basis students receive payment orders to make payment for the service. The information services are UAH 75.00, the issue of Diploma Supplements is UAH 33.90.

The total to pay for the Diploma Supplement is UAH 108.90.

The basis for placing an order is data on persons graduating from a higher educational institution willing to receive a Diploma Supplement.

The making of the Diploma Supplement takes a month from the date on which the person graduating from a higher educational institution submits an application for receiving the Diploma Supplement.
