International Local History Conference of Young Scientists "Local History in the Context of Modern Science (to Borys Zaitsev’s 90th Birth Anniversary)"
Karazin University School of History is pleased to invite everyone interested to take part in the 35th International Local History Conference of Young Scientists “Local History in the Context of Modern Science (to Borys Zaitsev’s 90th Birth Anniversary)” to be held on December 8, 2017.
Conference focus areas:
— historiographical and source study aspects of local history research;
— local history in the context of methodological turns in historical science;
— challenges and achievements of microhistory;
— interdisciplinary dimension of local history research;
— regional history through the prism of biography studies;
— funds of archives, museums, and libraries: their importance for studying local history monuments;
— issue of teaching local history at secondary and higher educational institutions;
— local history as a social movement: history and modern times;
— health care and social protection of population: microhistorical and local history studies;
— development of local history research at Kharkiv University.
The agenda of the event includes the roundtable discussion “Holodomor of 1932-1933 in the State and Region History”.
Working languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English.
